Prejean, Palin and Playboy… the 3 Ps of Mainstream Meanspirited Hate and Intolerance

I seriously don’t know what’s going on with the leftist run Mainstream Media these days. Obama got the nod, Democrats are in total control and Republicans have been reduced to a laughable irrelevance. So why has the hate and intolerance increased? Seems as though they should be happy as clams with the complete shift in power, partially brought to you by the MSM. But they obviously are not, as witnessed by three recent displays of meanspirited hate and intolerance.

Exhibit #1……. the Miss America pageant.

Enter Carrie Prejean, a California lovely that was the leader by most accounts in the Miss America beauty pageant until some troll named Perez Hilton asked her a question on Gay marraige. Prejean’s crime, speaking her mind on the subject with what was a very honest answer. Unfortunately for her, the intolerant Hilton didn’t accept her answer as being what he “wanted” to hear and gave her a zero mark which cost her the prize. This coming from a Gay who would have us all be “tolerant” of his choice. Some irony, eh?!!! But he wasn’t done. A day or two later on his Blog, Perez tried to explain his actions with this little rant;

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YI1u6bZ39YE&feature=related

Disgusting little creature!

Now, earlier this week, the weak-kneed folks that run the Miss California pageant with the head troll being none other than Donald Trump, decided to fire Prejean and take away her title. Guess they just couldn’t handle a conservative woman who spoke her mind on a hot topic and gave the “wrong answer”. What ever happened to free speech and freedom of thought in this country?!!!! I guess THAT only applies if you have the reigning conformist views of the left.

In case you have forgotten the story on the Miss America pageant controversy;

 Exhibit # 2…… the Palin/Letterman lovefest.

The nastiness was ratcheted up this week when David Letterman decided to go after the Palin family. Sarah Palin along with her 14 year old daughter Willow were in New York attending a conference on Autism. On the invitation by Rudy Giuliani to see a Yankee game, Letterman found this to be fair game for his monologue and suggested A-Rod could be found during the 7th inning stretch up in the stands knocking up Palin’s daughter. Another gem coming from his Top Ten segment on what Palin did while in New York, Letterman came up with this tasteless example of meanspirited hate when he said….. “bought makeup at Bloomingdales to update her “slutty flight attendant” look. Regardless of what your opinion is of Sarah Palin, this kind of viciousness is what has been increasingly deemed “acceptable” by those on the left and their pals in the MSM……. as long as it is directed towards conservatives. Letterman’s show is contracted and can be seen on CBS, the same network that instantly rushed in and cancelled Don Imus’s morning show over the “knappy headed Hoe” comment. Imus, to his credit went to Rutgers and met privately with the basketball team for two hours giving his sincere apologies and this was AFTER he had been fired so there was really nothing to be gained. So why isn’t CBS giving Dave some sort of reprimand? His so called apology later in the week was weak at best as he “claimed” he meant his “knocked-up” joke to be directed at Palin’s 18 year old as though THAT was supposed to exonerate him from this whole fiasco. Another “double standard” exposed!

See the controversy and an interview by Contessa Brewer here;

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=McvC7n6-buo&feature=related

Yeah……. cut that mic Contessa, you just got pwned!

Exhibit # 3…… the Playboy Hate F%*k article.

Playboy showed it’s true colors this week with an article written by an obvious “lover” of good looking conservative women named Guy Cimbalo. In this article, Cimbalo described how he would like to have “hateful” sex with a number of conservative women and was not at all coming from an angle of flattery. This is simply disgusting. The double standard again looms large here as, if this had been written about liberal women, the author would have been publicly flogged and demands for the Magazine to shut down would be all over the media. But again, not a peep from the MSM. Their silence is as good as a guilty plea to this charge. And where is this dude coming from……… I mean Peggy Noonan? She’s probably old enough to be his Grandmother! WTF?

“The names on the Playboy list of conservative women Guy Cimbalo wants to “hate f*ck” is, quite bluntly, a fantasy sex assault hit list:”

  1. Michelle Malkin
  2. Megyn Kelly
  3. Mary Katharine Ham
  4. Amanda Carpenter
  5. Elisabeth Hasselbeck
  6. Dana Perino
  7. Laura Ingraham
  8. Pamela Geller
  9. Michele Bachmann
  10. Peggy Noonan

Here’s a link that puts it all in perspective;

I just don’t understand the meanspirited, hateful and intolerant left these days. What ever happened to COMMON DECENCY?!!!!!

  1. Da Goddess says:

Prejean was fired for not keeping up with her duties — that’s the official reason for her firing. That’s fine with me. I don’t think there was a conspiracy to get rid of her or anything. I just think she made a bad choice or two following a very public tussle with Perez, who is a jerk of the highest order. Most of the gay community distance themselves from him because he doesn’t represent who they are, he only represents himself.

Re: Letterman. You know, I’ve always maintained that Dave was funnier than Jay. That he was a better comedian. Sorry, but jokes about raping someone of any age are inappropriate. And slutty flight attendant? C’mon, Dave, you’re better than that. I was truly disappointed by this whole slam on Palin. And not because she’s Palin, but because this was in such bad taste all the way around.

As for the hate F#%k list, sophomoric. I would have thought Playboy hired writers who were beyond that. Apparently not.

  2. torqdog says:

    DaGoddess,

I might be inclined to agree with you except for one very important point…….. had Perez not acted like the upity little bigot he is and given her the score she deserved, none of this would even be fodder for discussion as she would have won.
As far as her not upholding the provisions of her contract, that’s not what I heard. In fact, the animus started as soon as Trump had announced that she was staying on as Miss Cal. One of the high ups on the board quit in protest and there was much consternation expressed by others. I truly believe that she was ousted due to her honest expression of her beliefs which were counter to those held by most everyone else involved with the pageant.

Do you think the hostility and intolerance would have been equal if a contestant was asked what she thought about late term abortions with the questioner going into detail as to the process?

  3. bill says:

    “…leftist run Mainstream Media.”

I cannot tell you how silly that sounds. Rush Limbaugh has 10 million listeners. Michael Savage and Hannity run right behind. Fox News is the highest rated cable network with Bill O’Reilly having the highest numbers for a cable talk show.

That sound like “leftist MSM” to you?

It’s an internet myth, Randy. And you’ve apparently bought right into it.

    • torqdog says:

Bill, good points except for one minute detail……. all those folks you listed are NOT part of the MSM but rather are considered “alternative” media. They are “commentators” and don’t try to hide behind some unbiased illusion. The MSM I refer to are the Katie Couric, Tom Brokaw, Charlie Gibson types that are supposed to “report” the news and not try to make news like they are so often found doing.

C’mon Bill, you know this! Internet myth my arse!

  4. bill says:

The woman who quit was the Executive Director. She quit because Prejean had violated the rule of being Miss California by politicizing it and Trump announced she was staying any way. The Exec Dir. quitting had more to do with Prejean identifying with and helping promote a couple of organizations like the National Marriage Preservation Council or some bullshit like that. I just made that up and so did they.

Ask yourself, Randy, what would you think if Prejean had come out and said,”I think it’s perfectly fine for two people who love each other getting married, regardless of their gender.”

The conservative peanut gallery would have screamed and jumped up and down and thrown their poop at everyone in the room. And then, exhausted, they would have sat down and ate a banana.

    • torqdog says:

If Carrie had come out and spoke as you suggested, Perez probably would have had an orgasm right there on stage. Seriously, when it comes to these kind of matters, the “pop culture” always seems to triumph and conservatives just accept it as more PC bull malarkey. I personally have no dog in this fight other than pointing out the meanspirited hateful intolerance that was displayed by the upity bigot Hilton. His video blog a day or two later (link was posted) perfectly displys exactly what I’m talking about. And again I ask, had someone else been judging in Hilton’s place, would this particular subject even be fodder for discussion?

      Probably not!

  5. Stu says:

The only reason she politicized the competition was because she was asked a very polarizing political question in front of a national audience, and dared to answer honestly rather than tell Perez Hilton what he wanted to hear.

She said, “Well I think it’s great that Americans are able to choose one of the other. We live in a land that you can choose same sex marriage or opposite marriage. And you know what? In my country and in my family I believe that a marriage should be between a man and a woman. No offense to anyone out there but that’s how I was raised and that’s how I think it should be, between a man and a woman. Thank you.”

She shared that it was her opinion that marriage should be between a man and a woman. She also said the thought it was, “Great that Americans are able to choose one or the other. We live in a land that you can choose same sex marriage.”

I didn’t hear her say that she opposed same-sex marriage, or that she feels the states should prevent it. She simply said that it was her opinion that marriage should be between a man and a woman. It’s similar to asking me about abortion. It is my opinion that abortion is an absolutely unaccpeptable method of birth contol. Yet I also believe in personal freedom of choice and the state’s right to self rule.

The on-stage queston counts for only 5% of the contestant’s overall score (compared to 25% for the judges interview, 35% for talent, 15% for the swimsuit competition, and 20% for the evening wear competition). She won the pageant despite her response, only to have the title removed for “Failing to live up to her obligations as Miss America.”

Was that due to her politicizing the title of Miss America? Well, if being forced to repeatedly answer the ongoing questions about her response to a political hot-potato-of-a-question, maybe so. Maybe so.

  6. Bowler says:

it’s unlikely that Prejean would have neglected her contractual duties since she’s been under a microscope for the last month; if anything her dismissal reflects poorly on Donald Trump, makes him look like a wishy-washy businessman

  7. bill says:

I cannot believe, Stu, that you actually know the breakdown in scoring points for the Miss America Pageant and Bowler for saying that this firing refelcts poorly on The Donald. Bowler, everything Donald Trump does reflects poorly on him and the People-Magazine-Mentality Americans who support his casinos, tv programs, skyscrapers, lab-experiment hair do and pursed lips pose.

Now I’m laughing. Thank you Stu and Bowler. Priceless!

    • Stu says:

Don’t worry, I just happened across those #’s when I googled her exact quote…I didn’t really know them otherwise :-)

    • torqdog says:

“lab-experiment hair do and pursed lips pose.”
Now that’s funny shiat right there. Thanks Bill. The mental picture is making me think about losing my lunch!

  8. Jane says:

I’m waiting for the tosh.0 version

  9. Jane says:

here’s the top ten list for Letterman’s conservative critics

of course there are more than ten, and yeah a little decency would be nice but while we are pointing fingers…

    cut and paste
    http://mediamatters.org/columns/200906170036

    10) Focus on the Family founder James Dobson, for falsely claiming a hate-crimes bill that adds gay, lesbian, and transgender Americans to the list of protected groups would also protect those who commit incest, necrophilia, pedophilia, bestiality, and a host of other perversions.

    9) Fox News’ Sean Hannity, for hosting “Internet journalist” Andy Martin, who once called a judge a “crooked, slimy Jew, who has a history of lying and thieving common to members of his race.”

    8) Syndicated radio host Neal Boortz, for describing welfare recipients as “human parasitic garbage lining up to get their applications to loot.”

    7) Fox News conspiracy-theorist-in-chief Glenn Beck, for describing Obama’s nomination of Sonia Sotomayor to the Supreme Court as, “Hey, Hispanic chick lady! You’re empathetic. … You’re in!”

    6) MSNBC’s resident cranky uncle, Pat Buchanan, for saying prior to Sotomayor’s selection that he wanted Obama to pick a Supreme Court justice “who has real stature, impresses people” but thinking instead that Obama would pick “a minority, a woman and/or a Hispanic.”

    5) Syndicated radio host Jim Quinn, for repeatedly calling NOW the “National Organization of Whores.”

    4) Cincinnati-based radio host Bill Cunningham, for alleging that “Obama wants to gas the Jews.”

    3) Michael Savage (née Weiner), the third-highest-rated radio host in America, for saying “Obama hates” and “is raping America.”

    2) Fox News’ irrepressible mega-star Bill O’Reilly, for repeatedly quacking that the legalization of gay marriage could lead to folks marrying ducks.

And No. 1, the conservative movement’s de facto leader, Rush Limbaugh, for saying of Obama, “We are being told that we have to hope he succeeds, that we have to bend over, grab the ankles … because his father was black.”
