What a Fricken Joke

Who else but our favorite Speaker

So transparency has taken on a new meaning. Vote for the bill, THEN you can see all the crap you wouldn’t have voted for had you known it was in the bill. Yep, they’re transparent allright…… I can see right through their bullshit!

In fairness, they ALL seem to get caught with their foot in their mouth from time to time…….. some more so than others. Feel free to post some of your favs here. Bill, maybe you can look-up and find what is prolly the most remembered blooper of all time, the Dan Quayle “potatoe” thingy. ;-)

    That’s one FUNNY clip! LOLOL

  2. Bill says:

Yes, they all commit gaffes and say stupid things from time to time. An entire cottage industry of t-shirts and bumper stickers sprouted over George Bush’s butchering of the English language. The difference with him was that he was the most powerful human on the planet. It was unsettling to hear him garble simple statements to the world that left people scratching their heads in times of war, terrorism, financial crashes, etc.

  3. Bill says:

One of my favorites was our own Senator Hatch telling a reporter recently that if health care reform passes, Democrats would become “too popular” with voters and that would spell more trouble for Republicans come election time.

Here’s one of my favs from the famous Senator from, sadly to say, my state of Nevada.

  5. torqdog says:

And just to prove that I’m being “Fair and Balanced” about who I bash, heeeeeeeere’s Sarah!

    • Bill says:

She’s the best! It takes a lot of guts, seriously, to “get out there on that national TV stage and talk to the people of this great nation who believe in liberty and freedom”…and not have a f*cking clue what you’re talking about. At least the rest of them have to deal with knowing what they’re talking about part of the time, just to get by.

  6. Bill says:

If you took away the forced talking points, she would look like that poor kid in the beauty contest who started babbling about maps and the people of this great country, etc.

  7. torqdog says:

Yeah, Sarah is an easy target. She proved herself to be a little too green behind the ears as a Veep candidate.

Speaking of the Vice President, Joe Biden is a seasoned veteran of washington politics. He’s also know as a “gaffe machine”.

This is one of my favs but there’s so many to choose from.

Here’s a montage. The last clip is this video is wierd…… I can’t tell if he’s plastered or if he took a few too many meds that day or maybe both. :-)

  8. Bill says:

The “fool me once” clip is a classic. It’s already a bit difficult for some to wrap their head around the concept of fixing blame on “you or me,” depending on the number of times you lie. Then, to throw in a line from The Who in the middle of the stumble was Comedy Gold!

You can make fun of teleprompters, especially while you’re using one yourself, but they do save lives…and careers.

  9. torqdog says:

Did somebody say “teleprompter”? Seems like without one, he’s in a league all his own. Dare I say Bush looks good or at least comparable next to this guy?

    • Bill says:

No, you dare not say that. There’s nothing in 8 years of Bush-isms that comes close to anything Barry has slipped up on in a year. That’s like saying a guy in jail for 30 days on a drug charge is the same as a guy in for 10 years for bank robbery. They are both in jail, but that’s where the comparison ends.

The teleprompter crack was about the recent CPAC annual ghoulfest where Sarah had her core values written on her hand because she can’t remember what her core values are and another presenter, using a teleprompter, made fun of Barry for using a teleprompter. You can’t up this shit.

      • Bill says:

Can’t “make up” this shit would be better.

      • torqdog says:

Yeah the “hand-job” was a fun one to play with. Didn’t Dianne Feinstein also get caught in a photo with scribblings on her hand while giving a speech? I guess that one doesn’t count, right?!!! ;-)

Thats some of the best comedy Ive seen.. One who was young and not in the understanding of who thees people are might be impressed to think we have such great comedians in this country. The sad truth as we all know thees people are controlling the majority of our lives and pointing out the simple fact that there obviously incompetent greedy powerhungrey lier’s is like discussing why the unsinkable boat is sinking while still standing on the quarterdeck as it goes down the sink. Its all a joke its all a farce and there is only one way to stop it but no one wants to giveup there little dream world they spent there hole lives building and making to there little matrix of peace. I might stand alone in my beliefs. but watching thees videos after the laughter subsides the sickness of reality sets in and well…

  11. torqdog says:

For being a Harvard educated politician, he seems to have skipped english…….. or French.

  12. torqdog says:

And here Ladies and Gentlemen is the king of bloopers…… the one who started it all, Dan Quayle. I tried to find the Potatoe thingy and was unsuccessful. Watching these makes me kind of wonder if Bush and Quayle aren’t related somehow.

    Some funny stuff right here!
