14October 7, 2010 by esarsea
Today we surpassed the 2,000 comment mark. Granted, a lot of them were cross-talk comments between ourselves, but we’ve had a fair share of visitors who have left us a note from time to time too. Fun stuff.
Thanks to everyone who has helped keep THE BS BLOG a dynamic place!
Ok, the generated links are “Brenda and Michele go to a party…”
Truly, we have arrived.
In other news, I’ve received an interview request from The Daily Show for attending the Rally To Restore Sanity. Seems they are lining up a group of viewers who are attending and want to get some background and reasonableness from a handful of us. Two location tapings, one here in Salt Lake City and another at a TBA location with the whole group. Sounds like it will air as a show segment before the rally. Fun stuff!
Very cool Bill. Please post what day the show (or shows) will be airing. Who knows, this could be your first step towards a new career in politics! Let’s see…how could we work in a reference to THE BS BLOG in your interview? LOLOL.
I had looked at their website once, I may have to go look at it again…
Well, if I get further down the road with this, I will mentionn it, of course. They ask about hobbies and I’ll give them the Blog. Maybe I’ll wear a t-shirt with the blog name…Hey! Wait, wait, I just got it. I’ll make a sign that says “THE BS BLOG is reasonable! How About You?” I’ll be carrying several signs, different on front and back. I was thinking about,”Hey! I made a sign!” or “Successful Real Estate Investor Seeking Total Stranger-Intern to Make $20,000 a Month!” (They always have crappy, cheap signs zip-tied to a traffic sign post).
Excellent. Another option would be a simple “The End Is Near!” on one of those large, plywood jobs that you wear over your shoulders. Or maybe “Rush Is Right!” or “Megadittos” LOLOL.
Wow, I even made myself laugh with that one :-)
Well, you have to keep it as non-partisan as you can to be reasonable, in my opinion, so my sign might say”The Mall Is Near” or “Rush is a Good Band!”
Hi guys (and gals). It seems Stu was in search of my whereabouts the other day. I sort of drifted away from here a while back when life got too busy. I’m glad to see things are much the same with some new additions.
I still don’t have time to get sucked in, or catch up on all I’ve missed, but congrats on the 2000 comments. Hope to see Bill on the Daily Show!
When I was writing the “2000 comment” post it made me think of you, since you were one of our earliest regular contributors. Glad to hear all is well, even if you’re busy!
Public Citizen is having a sign slogan contest. They will print and distribute their favorite at the rally.

Well sadly, they passed me over, apparently.
I got a nice email yesterday informing me that they aren’t coming to Utah afterall, that they appreciate the “great” video I sent in and that they would “see me there!”
Fortunatley from my television and film production background, I knew how quickly things can change on a whim.
It’s all good. I can’t imagine what I would have said on camera about being reasonable.
Too bad, I was looking forward to it.
The Huffington Post is reporting that NPR is banning its employees from attending Jon Stewart’s and Stephen Colbert’s rallies.

They can’t do that……. can they? Maybe if they’re “on the clock” but otherwise, I don’t think they can tell you what you can or can’t do in your spare time provided that it doesn’t affect your ability to work. Can they?
I don’t know if they can, but it sure looks like they did.
Maybe you could just smile and look lovely, and then tell them “Sorry, I can’t give you any specifics on reasonableness, but I’ll have some up on my blog tomorrow.”
We need to restore sanity soon.
