As a former amateur punkin’ carver, I have to say these look like molded plastic. I mean, the pumpkins in my town aren’t that thick that you can carve that deeply without hitting seeds and a hollow center.
hee,hee- Letterman. I love Halloween. Lately, even more than Christmas, as that has become a rather stressful holiday.
Fantastic!!! They sure have come a long way from the pumpkins we carved as kids. A nice medium, like ice sculptures and sand castles they are definitely “for the moment” pieces of art.
One of my favorite shows (back when cable was part of my life) was the Food Network Challenge. Last year, I saw in awe as I watched pumpkin carvers do their thing. Amazing talent to have. I’m lucky if I can whittle a bar of Ivory soap into a slightly rounded “thing”.
