I think I may have posted about this a couple years ago, but a while back I purchased the remaining inventory of a Mom-and-Pop new and used CD store that was going out of business.
I sold the bulk of the new CDs on ebay, and the used CDs have been sitting in my basement ever since. It was a bit of an overwhelming task to sort through them all, as all the CDs were in paper sleeves kept behind the counter while the jewel cases were displayed on the shelves in the store. I’ve had to go through several very large boxes of empty jewel cases (hundreds and hundreds of them) and then try to match them up with the CD’s that were in other boxes.
I finally got started matching up the used CDs and jewel cases last week and began posting them on ebay. I’m only listing 40 to 50 CDs at a time so I don’t have too many to ship at once.
It’s an odd mix of rock, pop, rap, country, easy-listening and even movie soundtrack CD’s. I have found a few nuggets however, including a collectable Michael Jackson 2-CD set that was pulled from the stores and edited for language. The one I discovered evidently slipped through the cracks and was sold before they pulled them.
Anyway, if there’s anything in particular you would like me to watch for, let me know. In the mean time, here’s a link to what I currently have listed. Feel free to save this link, as the list will be frequently updated over the next several months.
