Born Under A Bad Sign

March 2, 2012 by esarsea

Sometimes here on THE BS BLOG we post things just to amuse and entertain ourselves. Ok, ok…so maybe we do that a lot. At least I do. Here’s one that I think my co-hosts Bill and Randy will appreciate.

An in-your-face power trio performance by Mr. Pat Travers. Something not entirely out of the realm of what another power trio might have performed around that same era (2002) at a little place called Piere’s in Fort Wayne. But I digress…

Nice! Good to see he’s still rockin. I used to listen to him allot back in the 70s and even saw him twice but haven’t heard anything from him for many years until now.

On another note regarding this video clip………. why is it that some folks insist on the overuse of special effects? I mean that bit around the 6:02 mark where the multiframes go whizzing by faster and faster while Pat is ripping on the guitar is simply over the top. I’d much rather have nice stable shots so as I can see what the heck the musician is doing rather than having to watch some video editor’s ego trip in the studio.

    End of rant.

Your old buddy RockinRon is enjoying the heck out of this one as well.

Have been a PT fan since Go For What You Know came out and rocked my world in 1979.

Have been there at the front of the Stage ever since, whenever the opportunity arises.

One of my Fav shows was at The Boot Hill Saloon outside of Daytona during Bike Week.

Pat played on a flatbed, and there were old Church pews to sit in outside.

    Kinda Like Church!

Torqdoggie will come off of his rant soon.
    Breath Deep Randy!

That’s right, I forgot you were a big PT fan. I saw some more recent clips on youtube, but really liked this one. Great to see he’s still out there making music!

Stu, PT have been Makin Magic for many years.
He been rockin it for over 35 years.
Here is one of my fav’s.

It Makes No Difference from 1976.
This was Pat in his prime.
Mars Cowling on Bass is amazing.
This was without Pat Thrall on Guitar trading leads with PT, but still great nonetheless.
