Back in the 80’s I used to enjoy assorted Windham Hill records when I was in the mood to, “chill” for a bit. They were typically instrumental recordings, and often recorded digitally direct (which was fairly new at the time). The compositions were usually of the Jazz or New Age genres.
As I reflect on the 1 year anniversary of my mother’s passing today, and watch the rain fall from darkened skies, I find this music oddly soothing and uplifting. Here are a couple examples. Enjoy, and if you’re so inclined, turn it up!
