Here’s a video explaining “The Monsanto Protection Act.”

What is the Monsanto Protection Act, you ask? Oh, just something President Obama signed into law yesterday. No big deal. Enjoy the video.

All the info out there. All the outrage. All the documentaries………………..This was it. Mr. President has lost another supporter. PISSED about this would be an understatement. BIG MONEY wins again. OH….and of course so do the two faced BASTARDS in Washington.

I’m gonna go out on a limb and commit a bit of heresy here but I just can’t get behind the doom and gloom predictions that GMOs are gonna kill us all in the end. Ever since the days when Man first settled into villages, we’ve been actively seeking ways to make plants more proficient which leads to produce that is far better than what is was originally. Take the tomato for example. You wouldn’t even recognize it the way it looked originally. Bitter, tiny, we as humans have genetically altered this plant into giving us something palatable.

And that goes for just about everything else. Our lives are far better and there is far less famine today than what might have been had we not experimented.

OK, pile on me now. I’m done!

Ok, so regardless of any health concern debates, you’re ok with the idea that Monsanto is free to do as they wish with our food supply, even if a Federal Court was to determine that there were legitimate health concerns with a certain product or GMO species, and ruled against its use?

To me it’s small potatoes (pardon the pun). I’ve been hearing these doom and gloom stories since I was a teenager and alas, we’re all still here living longer than ever. And there are alternatives for those of you and others wishing to avoid all this GMO stuff that has you up in arms. Organic produce and food is available everywhere. I realize it’s more expensive but that’s one of the benefits of GMO produce. It makes for higher yields which in turn reduces cost.

I’m sorry Stu, I know this issue is dear to your heart but it is more of a yawn for me. If you were to take all the scare stories spelling the end of humanity that we have been subjected to over the years and take them all seriously, we’d all be on prozac or thorazine by now. I mean cell phones were gonna cause us all to develop brain cancer, living under high voltage lines were gonna kill ya, etc etc etc etc etc.

That story about N. Korea scares me a helluva lot more than all this GMO hoopla. That crazy bastard is just nuts enough to do something stupid.

I think the jury is still out on this. It was believed at one time that smoking was safe, PCB’s were safe in transormers, DDT was safe for crops and the environment, sodium cyclamate was safe as a sweetner, etc. Plenty of drugs once deemed safe have been withdrawn. The people telling us GMO’s are ok are the same ones who allow arsenic in chicken feed (used because of it’s effect on the blood vessels in turkey and chicken, making them ‘appear’ pinker/fresher). The EPA classifies it as a human carcinogen, but the FDA says we can eat chicken who feed on it.

In my opinion, the long term effect of GMOs is yet to be determined…

I have tried several times to write another response. I am still so pissed I cannot form an intelligent paragraph (not that I ever have) so, I’ll just strongly encourage everyone to go to netflix or Hulu or any site like that and just search Monsanto. Watch everything you can and then come back and let us know if you feel the same way you do now. Monsanto is big money. They do what they want and answer to no one. Just like the drug companies. There will NEVER be a cure for cancer……..there’s no money in it.

shit they sue you when their seed infiltrates your crop, they sue you for anything they canhttp://www.naturalnews.com/040625_lawsuit_Monsanto_genetic_pollution.html but here is a real big other thing to be wary of. Trade agreements. the TPP needs to be stopped. this agreement is being made in secret, congress not allowed details but mega corps arewriting protections in there that put our soveriegnty at risk. they want to have MORE laws that basically say US law is void if they don’t get their profits. http://stoptpp.org/thefacts/
its not just about whether or not your are scared of GMOs themselves. do you care about US soveriegnty?
